Joseph and Me: The Challenge of Bitterness

Joseph and Me: The Challenge of Bitterness

Bitterness leads to wrath, wrath leads to anger, anger leads to clamor, clamor leads to evil speaking, evil speaking leads to malice (Ephesians 4:26).

Matthew 18:15-17 is God’s plan for overcoming bitterness towards others.

Joseph did not allow his years of slavery and imprisonment make him bitter (Genesis 45:1-7).

The most often used word in the life of Joseph is God (19x).

Conclusion: The answer to bitterness, wrath, anger, clamor, evil speaking, malice (you name it) is a deep conviction with reference to the existence and nature of God, a deep confidence in God and faith in the God who can be trusted in all circumstances!
