Our Citizenship is in Heaven (Philippians 3:20)
1. Conveyed into the kingdom of God’s dear Son (Colossians 1:13; Revelation 1:9)
2. Sojourners and Pilgrims (1 Peter 2:11)
3. Not to entangle ourselves with the affairs of this life (2 Timothy 2:4)
4. Things in this world are not going to get better (1 John 5:19; 2 Timothy 3:1-7, 13)
5. We should not be concerned about how to fix the world, but how to get out of the world
(Galatians 1:3-4; 1 John 2:15-17; 2 Peter 3).
6. We are here for the purpose of bringing others to Christ (1 Timothy 2:4)
7. The Lord keeps us here because of his longsuffering (John 17:5; 2 Peter 3:9)
8. We have obligations in the secular realm because of our relationship to Christ (Romans 1-13;
1 Peter 1-2; 1 Timothy 1-2; Titus 3:1)
